Iver launches new data center strategy to improve efficiency and sustainability

Iver has launched a new data centre strategy built around three availability zones. The strategy is designed to strengthen service resilience, flexibility and long-term scalability, while creating the conditions for more efficient operations and a lower carbon footprint per service delivered.
With three geographically separated availability zones, services and data can be managed with greater resilience to disruptions, as capacity can be shifted between zones if a single facility is affected. This reduces the risk of downtime and provides a more stable foundation for business-critical services.
The new strategy is based on a standardised structure with modern data centers designed to meet growing demands for availability, security and capacity.

The new data centers are designed to support modern IT architectures with efficient cooling, high capacity, and advanced management systems. This enables the use of more resource-efficient hardware, increased automation, and a more scalable operating model. Combined with the use of renewable energy, this contributes to a lower carbon footprint per service delivered.
The strategy also strengthens security through modern data centers featuring enhanced physical access control, monitoring, and advanced capabilities for redundancy, business continuity, and cybersecurity. Consolidation also creates better conditions for a structured approach to security processes, compliance, and risk management.
