Iver launches European Managed Detection and Response (MDR) – a service for advanced security monitoring, threat detection and incident response, delivered entirely within the EU. The service gives organisations greater control over their security data and reduces dependence on providers outside Europe.
European MDR is aimed at organisations with high requirements for security, data protection, regulatory compliance and control over their security data. The service combines European security platforms with Iver’s Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Stockholm, where security specialists monitor, analyse and investigate suspicious activity around the clock, all year round.
“ For many organisations, control over security data has become a strategic issue. They need to know where data is stored and processed, which technology platforms are being used and which parties have access to the information. Digital dependencies increase organisations’ attack surfaces and risk negatively affecting resilience, something that ENISA (the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity) highlights in its latest report. With European MDR, we at Iver can offer advanced security monitoring through a delivery model where data handling, technology platforms, personnel and data centres are all based within the EU,” says Mattias Persson, CTO at Iver.
The service includes both European Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and European Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). EDR helps organisations detect suspicious activity on endpoints and servers, while SIEM collects and analyses security events from infrastructure within the organisation’s IT environment. Together, they provide greater visibility into the threat landscape and enable faster detection, investigation and response to security incidents.
Through European MDR, organisations gain access to Iver’s SOC and specialist cybersecurity expertise through a European delivery model. This strengthens their ability to detect and respond to threats, increases control over security data and reduces critical dependencies outside Europe.
Iver is currently carrying out several major implementation projects involving European MDR for organisations in both the public and private sectors. Read more about Iver’s European MDR here.
