Since 2023, Region Blekinge has partnered with Iver to operate and manage its regional service platform – a digital hub that enables critical healthcare systems to communicate securely and efficiently. The platform, built on open-source code and running in a fully managed OpenShift environment, enables everything from booking appointments on 1177 to exchanging information between medical record systems and emergency care.
Challenge:
Region Blekinge required a modern and secure service platform that could integrate all of the region's systems and ensure high availability. The old integration solutions were expensive, difficult to manage and lacked flexibility. The new platform needed to meet high standards of security, stability and future-proofing.
Solution:
Together with Cleura (part of the Iver Group), Region Blekinge built a fully managed service platform based on Inera's SKLTP and OpenShift. The delivery includes responsibility for the entire stack – from infrastructure to application layer – providing high security, redundancy and availability via both Sjunet and the internet.
Result:
The region has gained a modern and cost-effective integration platform with maximum availability and security. A dedicated team operates the service and enables healthcare systems to communicate smoothly and reliably – benefiting patients, healthcare staff and the region's economy.
